Amulet Protocol is pleased to launch its public roadmap – providing insight into the coming months plans for our investors, users, and communities!

Amulet Protocol’s current development is focused on our mainnet launch. From there, we will work diligently to continuously improve, aiming to be the main cover solution for DeFi.

The team has great ambitions matched with a mentality to exceed them. Below is a lowdown of the expected plans from our project announcement in April 2022 until Q2 of 2023.

Amulet Protocol confirms strategic partnership with Project Serum as they continue to BUIDL on Solana



Amulet and Serum are delighted to announce their official strategic partnership, strengthening ties to the Solana ecosystem. 

Simple, reliable cover for Web3 meets faster, cheaper and more powerful DeFi as Amulet and Serum announce their official partnership. 

Amulet will launch on the mainnet at the end of September, initially onto the Solana blockchain before moving on to become a true multi-chain cover protection solution. Serum is a protocol and ecosystem that brings unprecedented speed and low transaction costs to decentralized finance. 

Serum was built on the Solana blockchain and is completely permissionless. Serum observed the growth of DeFi over the last couple of years, particularly the growth of DEXes on Ethereum, and noticed limitations for users and developers due to the extortionate gas fees and slow transactions. As a result, Serum was born to solve these issues and to improve issues of centralization, capital inefficiency and liquidity segmentations.

 
Launching as one of the first major open-source projects on Solana, Serum has a variety of offerings:

*  Serum Core – Asset Agnostic order book for matching any Solana-based trading product. Serum’s backend matching engine is perfect for both financial and non-financial instruments.

*  True Composability – Serum’s architecture makes it possible for a diverse range of applications and participants to share middleware in one place.

*  Developer Ecosystem and Services – Serum offers a decentralized on-chain order matching service giving full control to developers. Serum DEX also offers a greater source of pooled liquidity. 

*  Serum Token (SRM) – SRM is the utility and the governance of the Serum ecosystem and is fully integrated to benefit from buy/burn of fees.

*  Solana Speeds and Costs – Like Amulet, Serum uses Solana due to the extremely low transaction costs and the speed of the platform.

Amulet has been keeping a close eye on Serum since their August 2020 launch and the success of the project encouraged us to embark on our own journey. 

Like Serum, Amulet was watching the growth of DeFi, and later, DeFi protection options throughout 2020 while also keeping a close eye on the Solana ecosystem. 

The low fees and high speeds encouraged Amulet to take their learnings from others and create the first DeFi cover protection protocol for Rust-based ecosystems. Amulet has also redefined the cover protection model with their unique PCUV (Protocol Controlled Underwriting Value) solution. 

Both companies wanted to announce this partnership as they share the same ultimate vision for the industry – to drive to global mass adoption of web3 and DeFi. 

This partnership announcement is the catalyst to working on that vision together. Both companies will unite in collaborating against DeFi exploits, raising the profile of the Solana ecosystem and BUIDLing a strong future for the entire industry.

About the Bounty

Amulet is the first insurance protocol for the Rust ecosystem, starting with Solana. They are built as a flexible protocol enabling them to provide many different type of insurance products. Some of their initial insurance products are:

*  Smart Contract Risk

*  Stablecoin de-peg Risk

Amulet ( https://amulet.org/ ) -  has designed an innovative and open insurance model, which not only effectively addresses the common challenges of existing decentralized insurance protocols, but also creates a new paradigm shift for the whole insurance sector.

What is unique about Amulet

All traditional and DeFi insurance  protocols attack staked / invested funds in order to pay out claims, this diminishes returns and impacts relationships creating an unsustainable model. Amulets unique structure enables them to pay out claims without impacting staked capital.

Enabled by Solana they have designed Protocol-Controlled Underwriting (PCU).

The PCUutilses a proof of stake validator and other methods to generate yields. These Yields are tokenised into their future yield pool creating layers of protection between a claim and your staked assets. Meaning they can always payout claims whilst generating significant yields for stakers.


Current state

Their testnet is functional, but not very intuitive. They have docs, etc., in place but need an extra community review.

Bounty goals

*  Review their documentation, analyze their user flows and interaction.

*  The ultimate aims for Amulet is to make it easy for users to understand the platform and its benefits, and the number of clicks required to purchase, without compromising on use experience.

The result of this bounty will be included in their next release.

What an incredible 5 months we’ve had since announcing Amulet!

Announcing our project and seed funding news at DevConnect in Amsterdam, we’ve been ecstatic (and overwhelmed) at the response to our simple, reliable cover for everyone in web3.

Following that, while we’ve been at BUIDL stage, we’ve been able to create a community that are passionate about Amulet and DeFi risk protection options overall. The AmuNation have been promoting us through our gamified app and the response to our TestNet launch has been extraordinary.

We’ve been working tirelessly to ensure our MainNet launch would be at the end of September and after a successful code review/audit, we’re delighted to confirm our product is market ready and we’re LIVE!

September Twitter Highlights:

September has been an incredible month with regards to Social Media Growth and particularly Twitter. Twitter is currently our biggest audience and we’ve seen insane growth over the last 30 days. The current information is accurate on 01/10/2022 (2AM SGT time).

Twitter Stats:

*  Tweet volume has increased by 16.8%

*  In September our Twitter had 728k+ impressions (Increase of 626.3%)

*  We had over 1.08m visits to our Twitter account in September

*  We received 43.3k mentions


September Special Moments:

Between September 16th – 23rd, we were the 5th most engaged Twitter account on the whole Solana ecosystem!
 

On September 28th, Caitlyn Jenner retweeted our Tweet to her 3.4m followers and stayed on the top of her profile up until today – hopefully longer! (October 1st):
 

Discord Update

In September, we increased our verified users by a significant amount. We also added new features to allow people to track our social media following:
 

Games night have continued and our Poker Night reached full capacity of 300.

We also introduced our AMA Stage as we outgrew the voice channel. Our last AMA received over 200 listeners and there were no incentives. The community have supported us incredibly.
 

We’ve also updated our icon and banner to become animated. Created a really unique and valuable server for us and the AmuNation!

AmuNation App Bounty – The Stats So Far

 

At Amulet, we like to do things differently. We’re on a mission to provide simple, reliable cover for everyone in web3. As we are the first risk protection protocol for Rust-based ecosystems, we wanted to create a bounty experience like no other. In August, we introduced the AmuNation app, our gamified bounty campaign that updates tasks regularly and allows our community to remain engaged. It’s been a huge success so far and has helped us massively with gaining the traction during our TestNet and subsequent MainNet launch.

With regards to AmuNation tasks and actions, we’e already smashed our huge 1 million target! Our devs have more work but it shows the power of our community!

The team who helped developed this app have been building products and communities since the late 1990’s and we’ve been told that results like this have never been seen before. A HUGE KUDOS to the whole AmuNation 💪
