Joystream is a decentralized video platform running on its own blockchain (using the Substrate framework) and the project can be called the polkadot parachain. The development team aims to create an ecosystem in which each participant will be able to manage the system and receive certain rewards for this

 

This startup is open source and supported by BITMAIN, DC group, BoostVC and StartupLab

The core team includes Bedeho Mender (Founder / CEO), Mokhtar Naamani (Co-Founder / CTO) and Martin Wessel-Berg (COO)

Currently, there is no full launch of the platform, but several stages of test networks have already been passed, play video and a network portal are working

 

Joystream Founders Program

 

 

The team prepares to launch the mainnet and encouraging early contributors to support the project. So on February 14, 2021, the founders' program officially started, in which early supporters of the startup will be given an excellent opportunity to help the project develop and receive a decent reward for their work. In total, 15% of all tokens from the genesis coins will be allocated with the possibility of a more flexible redistribution of reward upward

 

To determine the performance of the participants, there will be a separate leaderboard. To get into it, you must be a Founding Member or submit a report on the work done before the end of this program (the program will officially end approximately a month before the mainnet). You can help the project in different ways - the team offers the following options:

• Become a storage provider - you need to configure servers to store video content
• Become a content curator - you need to moderate and curate incoming video content

• Uploading original videos to the testnet
• Error messages and security issues

 

JOY

 

Unlike the mainstream cryptocurrencies, the JOY platform will create and burn coins according to rules and parameters that can be changed by the community, so there is currently no way to pre-define the overall offer. We only know that the initial distribution will be as follows: 50 percent team and investors; 30 percent future community members; 20 percent early community members

 

Each participant on the platform will need to make a certain bet in JOY (as collateral) to work on the platform and receive rewards

JOY holders will be able to vote on the various decisions proposed by the community

With the help of JOY it will be possible to access monetized content

Impressive project, thanks for a share brother 😍! Polkadot is another ground breaking blockchain project to allow the creation of other blockchain-based on the main network Polkadot. The project you mentioned in this topic has a bright future in my personal opinion.

The coins that were in the steak (if you were in the validators or on the waiting list) remained on the account in your personal account. The old network split into two networks and in the end the developers decided to create a new network.

Submitting a report to Joystream is not easy for beginners. Users usually have a lot of questions like when to send reports. If you have already created some activity and are ready to report, then first you need to prepare - for this:

• we will find out when it is necessary to submit a report on this page
• create a Keybase account and remember your nickname
• preparing your JSON file (created with your joystream account)
• create a text file with a report on the work done

When creating the text file itself, use the following guidelines:

• we write all information in English
• when describing the activity, be brief and be sure to attach proofs
• no need to specify old activities
• if your node up, then attach screenshots from telemetry
• if you are a validator, then then attach statistics

To check the statistics of your node and find out from which block the node is active, you need to do the following:

• go to this page
• we find our node in the drop-down list
• we select the following parameters Agregation - 4h, Aggregation type - Min and Property - Best block Number
• look from which block the node is active. In the example below, my node is active from block 7945

Well I hope this one succeed, we have seen so many cryptocurrencies projects come and go it is a very big competition, people are making money with YouTube, so it is not easy shifting to another platform, the only advantage is the payment with crypto which YouTube can do at anytime, I even wonder why they are not doing it yet.

They don't, because they don't need it now. YouTube has no direct competitors yet, so why waste your trump cards. Time will tell whether Joystream will be successful or not. The team is working on the project and it's great.

I have seen it even tried some of their stuffs, but like you said time would tell, and I real need to hear it say, because i tend to use projects that are in the game for some time just to be sure, it is my way around the cryptoworld.

If it is support I have done that so many times to so many projects in which most of them had let me down, I'm not saying that I'm tired of supporting crypto project is just that I have become more carefully and reasonable.

I think polkadot coin this seems to not be good in the future, because it was come with a very big worth in a very short time and currently its started to decrease its worth very slowly, so that's means maybe this was a temporary project to make huge profits for their investors.

Friends On May 27, 2021, an updated release of the platform appeared - Sumer. The goal of this release is to improve the testnet performance - now loading content (video) has become more convenient

All offers, balances and fiat reward pool have been migrated to the new network. The only missing are channels and uploaded media content, which, unfortunately, are not supported by the new protocol
