Just research the project so you will know if their project can survive for long. I guess it is more risky to invest in ICO better to invest that already listed in exchanges or trusted coins like in the top coinmarketcap.

The best way to find a good project is to search on Google If we search on YouTube, we will find many videos of good projects But I will give you the  advice that we should start crypto trading Because the risk factor is very low in trading as compare to investment project

Sometimes the best project are not actually determined by how huge the price is, because most those project or coins that have high dominance do also drop in price value with a great fall that will take a longer time for the project to recover.

In crypto there are a lot of coins that you can choose to invest in the long term but I only suggest you can invest in yobit in the long run because yobit is profitable,

Use case is major key to find a good project. second one is team. if team is good and use case of coin is also very good than it will for sure be adopted and will rise too. See example of Ethereum and Ripple. both are in news now a days.

Good project are those coin which coins have some use case and are using in daily life benefits. if we want to find good projects than we have to study about coin there road map and team .
