Elon Musk is being asked to accept the XMR coin at Tesla

Recommended Posts

It is no surprise to anyone that Elon Musk is now heavily invested in cryptocurrency with him taking special interest in dogecoin, and recently making a huge investment into Bitcoin as well under Tesla. This is a major influential figure that has moved into the limelight when it comes to the crypto world. However, it seems that it might be going even further, as there are apparent talks that indicate that perhaps Tesla is looking to accept Bitcoin as a main form of payment as well.

This would be revolutionary for Bitcoin. However, with this news being out there, other coins also want to get in on this, with one such coin being Monero (XMR). They have asked Tesla to consider accepting their coin.

Monero is known as a coin that continues to have high levels of anonymity, which is great for crypto users, but may not be a good thing for large businesses to accept. What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe that coins such as XMR should be considered at businesses like Tesla?

So the XMR community is asking for this? Do you have a link to the request?

But anyway, i can see several issues with this.

1. XMR's main purpose seems to be using privacy to escape regulations.

2. Bitcoin's marketcap is 100x bigger then xmr and it has enough liquidity and market makers so it stays way less volatile then XMR would if Tesla accepted it. While in the mean while XMR is getting kicked out from exchanges because of AML and other regulatory issues.

I see more potential with doge coin to be accepted to be honest. I personally don't have anything against XMR, but it's really hard to see future for it now that regulators are all over crypto.

Repetitive and similar promotion to boost up the crypto from the bigger figure like Elon Musk won't work all the time in the crypto world. Lawyers already started to warn Elon for his Tweet to boost the Bitcoin. I see moderate possibilities that Elon will consider to invest in privacy coin Monero(XMR) . So many exchange sites are repeatedly delisting XMR and that can be a hampering factor.

if elon musk really bought out some xmr for his tesla then the xmr price will up like a myth because  he will  bought xmr as like same amount he bought  bitcoin..  But where is the confirmation??  Maybe some crazy trader  or holder start to collect xmr just for this little  news..

If Elon Musk agrees to accept Bitcoin as payment for his cars and trucks, then we can see more giant investors like him and perhaps we can see Bitcoin over $50K.

Monero is a good coin. Elon Musk is a scientist but also a businessman, so I don’t think he will accept Monero as payment to his company unless he sees any profit opportunity as he saw in BTC and DOGE. Otherwise, he will not accept Monero for his company!

tesla company owner elon musk.  The price of any coin multiplied for his tweet message.  elon musk If Tesla chooses xmr for the company then the price of that coin will increase manifold.xrp coin was delist from some exchange sites but then the price of xrp increased again. And I think the same will happen in the case of xmr

There is separate story behind XRP price raise and that is another matter. Boosting up the privacy coin Monero(XMR) by using the same tricks again? Oh, no it won't work. Crypto community won't be deviated all the time by hearing the repetitive tricks to pump out the coins.

One of the reasons for the increase in XRP prices.  But I'm not worried about coins, because I don't use them.  Many large companies in the crypto world invest so that the prices of currencies rise sharply.  But what do you think about xmr coins?

Anything can happen to Monero(XMR)'s markets. It is utterly based on the cryptocurrency markets and the backbone technology where Monero is based. More the uniqueness of Monero's XMR in the markets, more will be it's price and demands. As it is a privacy coin, investors who wish the anonymity at the max. possible degree.

Monero is amazing technology, but because of the anonymity it will always be seen as a threat by governments and will not be allowed. Any company that accepts Monero will have this risk of having this asset banned and not being able to justify the income as it won't be possible to know if the money route came from illegal activities.

@BrolySSJ I think you make some awesome Topics !!!!! I enjoy reading your Topics. They are always very informing. If Mr Elon will in the end accept Monero or not, only time will tell. Your mention also the Mr Elon has a positive outlook for Doge. Since he made these comments, Doge has been in a bull rally. Doge is still cheap at the moment, at around 0.06 cents usd. So, if anybody has any extra 20 or 30 euros too spare, I would invest them in Doge.

Now Investment Box in Yobit is offering Doge at 1% monthly, I think it is. I bought a couple of thousand of Doge the other day, just to put in Investment Box. Just think if Doge goes to 1 usd & you bought at 0.06 cents usd. These are the types of opportunities that you have to act on.

Monero is one of the coins that will be there after everything and will keep getting adoption that is for the real use cases and not just for pumping bags. It has a strong technology that anonymizes transactions and not allows anyone take a look at your wallet and immediately know your assets valuation. You don't become a target to scammers using Monero and it is how digital currencies should have been.

Monero is a fantastic piece of technological advances but because of its anonymity, authorities will always regard it as a threat and will not permit it. Any organization that recognizes Monero runs the risk of making the asset outlawed and being unable to explain the profits because it would be impossible to determine if the money path was derived from illicit activities.

I do not think that large companies accept dealing in currencies with high privacy, this may cause them some problems with governments and cause many problems, as for Bitcoin, this step was really a big motivation for them.
