How to track off-chain transaction from Bitcoin lighting network?

Recommended Posts

Friends, I think a site has scammed me with a fake QR code enabled invoice.  I worked hard in that site so I tried to withdraw some Lightning network Satoshis by scanning QR code but it says "Withdraw link is empty". I scanned code for the first time by using trusted lightning network Bitcoin wallet & asked their support team but they said I have already received Satoshi so how can I provide proof agaist their false claim that I didn't get anything?  Please help me.

Could you tell me more about the website you are talking about? It seems that the website is giving the Qr code that has already given to the another users. As the qr code was already redeemed to satoshi that's why you arenot having the oppurtunity to get satoshi into the wallet.

I suggest you to look for the website Customer support once as you have said the wallet is trusted.

I want to learn more for Lightning Network because it will help our chances to receive tips in many platforms and it is already used for testing by many. But the problem comes we don't know how to use this technology yet.

I did some research on ln explorers and I found this one that could be of some kind of help for your problem.

https://explorer.acinq.co/. I would also like to know which platform it was that this happened and I hope this explorer powered by eclair, will help you find your satoshi payments.

Exactly as Ridam said.

To me, more definitely you have been scammed. Since they provided a code which you couldn't redeem. My advice is getting a lightning network explorer, get the evidence and contact the support of such investment company.

That's mainly the problem of running a LN, it might not be totally safe.

Oh, sorry to hear your problem. It would be the best if you have revealed the site name too. But anyway, Bitcoin lightning network payment takes place between the two channels and Lightning network has own native smart-contracts. If you have following details,

  • Node public key,
  • Alias,
  • IP address,
  • Channel ID,
  • Bloch height,etc.

You can just use https://1ml.com/ or https://explorer.acinq.co/ to find the details about the nodes on the network but still you can not trace the transactions, it's the beauty of Lightning network. Encryptions are being shared with the sender and receiver through the smart-contracts so the route will be changed once the channel is closed.
