Can the Bitcoin network be hacked?

Recommended Posts

These questions have always been asked since Bitcoin first came out. Bitcoin took better steps towards security every day until 2021. It is still getting more and more secure. Considering the fluctuations in the value increase, there is nothing to worry about for an experienced investor. But someone new to investing may be afraid.

But there is a threat to that approach, bitcoin network might be the most secure system we have ever seen, but there is something called quantum computers which are said to be strong enough to crack bitcoin network if someone wanted to.

Till now there was no hack performed that means the network is very secure so you all should be thinking about the making more money instead of the possible hacks.

I don't think that btc can be hacked. Yea it was not popular or reliable in earlier but now it is most secure and famous coin. And its security system is suitable. It is billion dollar market where a large number of big investor invest their money. So it is not easy to hack such a big network.

I think, it is really hard to "hack" Bitcoin and add to blockchain an transaction which is not "true" and real. You will need to have at lest 50.001% of all hashrate so you will be the most and you can make everything you want. But it is not really possible, beacuse with every year BTC hashrate is rising so it is much and much harder to make 51% attack.

Almost impossible to have the 51% attack for Bitcoin. Hypothetically, if attackers managed to perform the 51%  attack, they can just double spend their holdings it means they can not steal your Bitcoin holdings from your wallets. As the network's size is growing everyday, Bitcoin is becoming more and more powerful everyday.

One should admit that it is very difficult to hack the Bitcoin network or chain but yet it is not totally impossible and you can see that some of the most famous and highly secured exchanges have been hacked more than once. I think it is because the intruders or hackers are experts and they have wide knowledge about crypto currencies and I suspect they might be developers of the currencies too.

The network is extremely secure. It is not only secure against hacking, but also against a 51 percent attack. I recently read that it was estimated that it would cost 24 billion dollars to purchase the necessary hardware, plus another 16 million dollars a day to keep it going.
