How to secure my account from scammers as a newbie?

@Abideen You really cant protect yourself or your account from spammers. What you can do is just not pay attention to any scam / spam message you receive. Just ignore it. If you do respond, they will never leave you alone. You can also Block anybody who is spamming you, in your Profile Account Settings. You should also let Admin / Mods know of anybody spamming you. They will deal with them quickly.

Yes of course, you are right. We cannot protect ourselves from scammers but what we are to do is for you to be always alert because scammers do not have actual time that they will scam you. It can happen to you anytime. But you are to be careful.

It's great that you are thinking proactively. Scammers set traps for people in form of adverts such that once you see it,you may fall for it or they send direct mesage to some offering outrageous benefits. These are the kind of things to avoid. There offers are alway too good. Try and verify every forum that you might want to join whether it looks suspicious or not.

Hello, welcome in cryptotalk. Anyway, I'm not an expert in here but I have some experience that I could share to you. The only thing you need to do to secure your account is don't easily believe to the people in crypto currency and don't click some site that you think is suspicious. Scammers are always offering you something that you think good for you but when you do it, it will just lead you on losing your money. I also suggest you to do research, that's the best way you could know how they do scamming so you could avoid it.

Dear @Abideen it's simple that we can save our account from any kind of scams by we shouldn't share our key/password to anyone even they giving you any ×2 offers or something like this.

Unfortunately cryptotalk doesn`t have 2FA and I don`t think it`s necessary for the forum. You should have it in a wallet or on an exchange, not here. The only right way is to set up really strong password and keep it safe. Don`t provide an access to your e-mail or account to other people and everything will be good

The most important issue is never believe anyone personal messaging you FIRST to solve an issue you've got. admins, moderators, ambassadors etc never pm you first and ask for your personal information or passwords etc. they already have that information.
