Bittrex Exchange KYC Policy Is Really Bad

Hi all,

 

Below is an email I received from Bittrex Global Exchange, to verify my account & to get it reactivated. I wont be doing the verifying process, as I feel its too draconian. Its not only too invasive, its very difficult to do what they are asking me to do. Basically, it comes down to them stealing the money in my account. Their KYC policy below makes me feel more like a criminal rather than a customer / client of the Bittrex Global Exchange. This is what happens, when an Exchange is located in the USA. They treat you like a criminal anytime you have to do anything related to money. Another problem I have when they demand so much personal info is  - who will they give my personal info to & how well my personal info is protected.

 

I have sent an email to Bittrex Global saying how I feel about their KYC Policy & that they are stealing my funds.

 

Stay away from Bittrex Global Exchange & and any Exchange that is located in the USA. Binance International recently closed any accounts if the holder lives in the USA or is a USA citizen. The USA account holders now have to use the Binance USA Exchange web site.

Required Proof of Identity
Please provide a government identification and a photo of you holding the identifications where we can match your face and information. Please also write Bittrex Global and today's date on a piece of paper and hold it in the picture. Please make sure the text on your ID is readable in all photos.

Required: Please submit the following 3 images: An image of you looking directly at the camera, another image of you looking off to the right, and a final image of you looking off to the left. All 3 photos are required for all requests.

Here are some guidelines to help you take a perfect valid image:
The paper must have "Bittrex Global" and today's date (both handwritten)
All text on both the ID and the paper must be legible and free of blur, glare, or obstruction
Your face, shoulders, and arms must be visible
The paper and the ID must both be visibly held in your hands, they can not be attached to each other or any other surface.
All text must be read from left to right, the image cannot be mirrored or flipped in any way.
Disclaimer: Any images that do not satisfy these requirements will not be accepted under any circumstance."

Once you have completed identity verification, please respond back to this ticket so that we can review your submission.

Are these people serious? What is all this, it just means they don't want anybody to use their exchange. This is breach of privacy and no website should be asking for photographs of ourselves. In fact if they start doing that they will lose their customers. This is very bad to know and made me hate this stupid Bittrex as I am reading your post. I would never try to make an account there and will not do send any private information to any website.

Some exchanges and some mining applicationes required KYC verification but it's not best why we gave our personal secret them but i don't like it for exchanges purposes and i don't use that exchange who required KYC verification.

Some time your passport  picture, national  identity  picture get reflected  for the flash so in this case  its necessary  for you to  know that  no exchange  will allowed  this kind of verification  while bittrex  is a top rated exchange site so there has no reason  to delay with your kyc submission ..

Bittrex USED to be a top rated exchange. Their customer base has been falling off recently. One of the reasons is the KYC policy that Ive posted here. In other areas of the internet, other people are also complaining about their KYC & other things. Many of the sites that list exchanges, will accept money behind the scenes to give good ratings to exchanges. So even thou Bittrex is not so good any more, it still gets good ratings, because it pays for those ratings.
