4 Common Cryptocurrency Scams We Should take note.

Cryptoworld is filled up with different types of scamming techniques which scammers used to cheat less experienced people and some users who mistakingly fall into there trap, in order to avoid members falling into there traps that is why i decided to create this topic to remind us on some of the tricks they used to cheat people.

Here are four(4) common Cryptocurrency scams we must take note of mate, they include:-

1. Imposter Website:- This is a scamming system in which a website is created to resemble an original existing website and anyone who visit the exchanger might likely lose there funds, so take note of this because there will be no one to compensate you if you lose to scammers. Example, we all know that yobit exchanger URL address is "yobit.net" but imposters can create there's to be like "yobit..net" and that is why yobit support team keep warning us that " Do check domain in your browser, our domain: yobit.net, yobit.io, yobitex.net. If you enter your login/password at other site, your money can be stolen by hackers and we can't help you. To Avoid this type of scam carefully type the URL yourself.

2. Fake Mobile Apps:- This is a scamming trick used to cheat investors through fake Apps which they claimis available for you to download in Google playstore and it is a great risk for Android Cryptocurrency investors, to avoid this type of scamming trick kindly make use of the website to make your investment to avoid losing your funds to scammers because there will no one to compensate you if you lose. ( Begginers yobit exchanger doesn't have a mobile App in playstore yet so patiently wait for the official announcement).

3. Social Media Update:- Bots are mostly used for this type of this trick mate so take note. Scammers do create accounts with names of celebrities claiming the name and if your follow them later you will begin to see offers including positive replies, these are bots which are automatically assigned to perform such task and don't send any amount of coins they ask you to if not you won't see anything in return, so greedy members should be aware of this Cryptocurrency scams.

4. Scamming Emails:- In this system they send emails which look like legitimate crypto company that you may have invested in and they will provide you a link don't click, closely look at the logo well and compare with that of the site you invest to avoid falling a victim. The ability to check on these is why i strongly suggest we invest in top popular site.

These are some tricks used by scammers dear friends, so be vigilant and be security concious scammers are real.

This is indeed a good beneficial topic i must confess because since i am not that exposed to Cryptocurrency world i never imagined that scammers can attack us using this listed tricks but thanks to this topic because by now i will be more cautious in th ways i run things in cryptoworld and i believe this will also help many members especially the newbies who have low experience about scammers. That's right, most of you mentioned is a common signs of frauds in a cryptocurrency platforms or project, that's why we should put in our minds that this fraudulent acts is thriving because we are not enough vigilant and careful for all the transaction and Investment sessions that we have done that's why in order to eradicate these scam and fraudulent action we should always stay alert and find those red flags that were mentioned in the OP,

It was very alarming, it is just a sign that we need to be careful because based on the list every platform is dangerous, you might be a victim of some bad people who didn't make a living in a legal way. In addition to what has been mentioned above I think it's worthy of note that one should understand that cryptocurrencies /crypto is not some form of get_rich_quick scheme, the earlier you understand these the more of an eye opener against scams it will be for you.

Yes mate we need to always make good research before believing in any information we are not familiar with because scammers have lots of agent around including this forum which is why we all need to be careful especially the newbies who have less experience about Cryptocurrency and it related activities.

and especially on fake apps and fake emails there are so many of them and even there are some fake mining sites where you are given Gh mining power and you do mining but the time you want to withdrawal you find it difficult to withdrawal because its a little bit difficult because you are suppose to make sure that you deposit the money that is very very important to check and it does work in some cases perfectly

Scams can be projected any where whether in banks telegram whatsapp and every position a scammer can be able to get into , all they have to do is convince you that you need them and after that they take everything you got so its important that we are all careful in what so ever we are doing and in the end everything works out perfectly

Ahh yes even its so simple many of us here has been a victim attempted to get scammed and also the mobile apps almost all of them are scam especially who gives instant 100dollars i dont even know how others get jabaited to that but besides that i thank for those people who still spread awareness for hackers to keep us safe.

Now a days the telegram scamming projects are active where few days before I have joined the airdrop of coin and get the notification of reward where they have rewarded me of 8.8 ETH and want some fee which will be return afterward. This is a scam to get eth from me. Always be alert don't gove fee for reward. Report those scamming projects to prevent them scamming other people who become prey for them. Above four are most used ways of scamming. But scamming with social apps such as telegram is so much high. The scam ratio on telegram is 80%  in type of fake airdrops and fake inbox massage in telegram.

That is true because i have participated in lots of airdrop campaigns and none of them have sent me any coins in the wallet address i provided to them and for that i am suggesting we focus on the likes of this forum to make quality post so that we can earn good coins to trade in November when trading begins in yobit exchanger.

Good point, we should be careful because there are many scammers and they have different tricks to trap us, No.1 and 4 are used by many scammers and a lot of people lost their money with such scam trick. It's good to re-check every site domain and email that you'll receive if they are from the original poster.

Very good post that describes some of the most popular scam operations performed by scammers more than occasionally. We should take note and remember then as having knowledge is always more important than going blind and getting scammed like newbies.

I think that even if we know about everything there is still need to read this post again because of the importance of protecting our crypto. Especially the fake imposter exchanges can be a very bad thing as many don't have a lot of knowledge on internet safety and make mistakes to follow phising links.

As a new person in crypto I have to admit that I've already seen many scams only by using google and searching. And most of them are get rich quick but there are some that are hard to recognize. I have experience with internet security but I don't have knowledge on crypto so I'm trying to read about what is happening and you have given me a lot of good points with your post, so thanks a lot.

You are right I am seen this happen and there are many that fake celebritiy or ceo of big company like Tesla and have 10 followers. These are very bad scammer and will not make any but they are scammer anyway so we are have to avoid and report them.

Everything with scams has to do about them faking a situation a website or an event. There is always deception and they are masters at that. To avoid scammers we have to become masters at recognizing deception. Sometimes on the internet and in real life this is really hard though.

Thank you brother for your valuable information to alert all the people in this forum to avoid the scammers, now there are many scammers who tries to scam peoples so it is a valuable information to alert them to get away from the scammers many new members used to be trapped because they are not aware about this scamming.
