Should I invest in ICO or altcoins?

Since 2018 the ICO craze has faded and most new projects fail to reach their targets. The bear market of 2018 and the continuation of the bear for the altcoin market until now, two years later, has stopped investors from entering new projects and created a really bad situation for the altcoin market. Too many have lost money and keep having faith that their coins will make 10x of their current price, just to sell at where they've bought.

In any business, protecting your capital is paramount and this adage summarizes it, "the return of one's capital is more important than the return on one's capital. We know there are a number of formidable altcoins out there and presently, they are cheap, Any wise person would go for them than taking a chance with ICOs you never can tell how they would turn out.

@Japopo  It's still possible to invest in ICOs, yes. It is no more risky today than it was before and it was no less risky before than today. An investment always involves risks. If you are not a capital dedicated to investment, I advise you to invest in cryptocurrencies already well known and which lose and gain between 10% and 20% regularly.

It depends on you of course but l would prefer really in altcoins. But top altcoins are really profitable. BNB and ETH can help you about that. You can make some profit in the future from both of them.

I assume funding in altcoins is better than in ICO. due to the fact most of the ICOs are scam and we do not know they might live to tell the tale in marketplace or now not.  usually their costs fall in beginning and possibilities of rising is very low because no person prepared to buy them as they're now not trustable. whereas already mounted cash come up with high income for holding.

I also think that the IOC no longer has many investors and the profit from it is not great anymore. I think now that the IOE is much better in this matter.

ICO's are done for my part. They were being hyped in 2017-2018 and after the crypto bubble burst they disappeared and that i do not suppose they're coming lower back.

If we can make a small comparison about ICO and Altcoins the second one is more secure than the first i think and you know what you buy in the first not like the new project in my opinion , but the ico still a good investment too just need the best one

I`m writing in future and can say that nothing changed. Little percent of coins gave good profit and people still hold their investments. Nonetheless you can participate in IEO on Binance or such big platforms. Now only these IEOs give good money

I think investing in digital currencies or crypto currencies is safer than investing in new currencies or currencies in the beginning ICO  , i wish you good luck .

Absolutely yes, at the present time the new currencies or those that are in the ico stage are completely unsafe and I had a negative experience in one of these currencies where I lost part of my money.

You must analyze each ico to choose a good one and come out with profits since most always end in experience loss, you must have enough knowledge for that.

ICOs are a very long term investments and they can turn out to be a huge disappointment and some coins lsoe too much of their value after the  listing process, If it was me I would invest in altcoins only because they are a more smart choice for investment.

There are still new projects daily, you can check this on coinmarketcap as new cryptocurrencies are released almost everyday but most new projects are not profitable but few which are very hard to find.

.I did not know that, but despite this, these projects no longer have the same popularity as they used to, and traders only buy the currencies in the market.

As for me I think investing in altcoins is better than in ICO that are mostly turning out to be scam and leaving investors with losses.

I will choose to invest in altcoins because they are profitable and i have earn good amount with them. I don't have good experience with ICO and i never earned them. But there are many investors who says ICO are scam nowdays.

It is not about the alts neither the ICO, the most important is, what they've been offered in the community, what kind of technology it is,  Is it feasible or has a high rate of support from the public.

I think that you should invest in coins and projects which are already launched and which are listed, and ICO trend has passed and today IEO is better and safer

Investing in alternative currencies is more reliable and secure because it managed to survive for several years and succeeded in being present in the famous platforms. As for the new ICO projects, there is a large percentage of them fraudulent and unreliable, and some of them fail to remain within the crypto market.
