The future of Bitcoin and Altcoins

There are currently two competing views going on in the wider cryptocurrency trading community about the future of Bitcoin, both being based on the scarcity of Bitcoin vs. abundance in altcoins. Basically:

 

1. Bitcoin is scarce, therefore Bitcoin is valuable. Ergo, we'll see a surge in interest in Bitcoin.

2. Bitcoin is scarce, therefore Bitcoin isn't valuable. Ergo, we'll see a surge in interest in altcoins.

I think, the future of bitcoin and altcoins are great. Because the market is still strong to go for more 20-30 year's. And still, bitcoin is dominating the crypto world. So, no worry to use crypto-currency.

Bitcoin is the most profitable cryptocurrency right now and I guess it will remain the same. Although the price of other altcoins will rise also.

Yeah, both are running inside crypto users' minds. And my views are also both of what you mentioned, they're fighting inside my mind on what to believe. But more percentage on the side of Bitcoin is valuable. Because eventhough we already knew that Bitcoin is only 3.15 or something now, we still are investing and buying Bitcoins.

My opinion the future of Bitcoin and Altcoin will be more and more users, this is evidenced by the increasingly crowded exchange (more users) and many new exchanges created and online. So the future of Bitcoin and Altcoin will be so important in our lives.

Bitcoin is pioneer for cryptocurrency, maybe now it like old parent. But for my view Bitcoin will accepted in the future, the price now not mirror for next 5 years.

There is still some company learning about Bitcoin, so they can integrated it in their business. Also people who hear repeat times about Bitcoin will trying to enter cryptocurrency. For altcoin is like children, they price now is still based their parent, Bitcoin. So if they already have big community, i think they will growing slowly. Don't too worry about bleeding that is temporary.

As you said it depends bitcoin will be valuable or not. one thing in my opinion if bitcoin is worthless it will actually grow bad effects on altcoin. As we see today that market dominance is in favor of bitcoin and historically based on the movement of altcoin it refers to the growth of bitcoin, so when bitcoin is worthless it is likely that altcoin is also worthless.

I think bitcoin and alt coin complement each other. But bitcoin will stay on top as it is the base of all transaction on crypto currency world. For me I don't depend on USD or fiat when I trade on alt coin I depend on btc to other alt coin. I think we can profit a lot if we hold the btc until it reaches the bull run.

If you have been In this crypro market for so long you would understand its good to be trading btc/usdt pairs and its very profitable to be trading this pair when bitcoin is dumping usdt can save you. Because altcoins wi dump as well.

Thank you for the advice I will take note on that and then try to use it sometimes. Is there any thing that you can recommend for me as a technique on trading or a trading guide. Or a coin that is promising and can give me good profit. I want to learn more and share more. I always take note the things that I learned in this forum and I believe that can be use in the future. The things I learned here can be very useful for the future.

I think Bitcoin will hit back 20k $ very soon. Bitcoin will break all the previous record within 2025. I think in 2025 Bitcoin price will touch the landmark of 100k $.

I think bitcoin will be more powerful than now in the future, but about altcoins I guess there is a lot of coins will disappear from the market because their projects is weak and not going to hold for a long time

Future of Bitcoin depends on investors mentality and news based movement, charts have no major impact, it has been proved crypto does not move as per the charts.

Even the value of Bitcoin sometimes fall it's normal for me and I hope it survive it's downfall. Bitcoins and Altcoins may introduce the users to the new age of technology in which payments is based on them and not on paper currency.

Yes, what you have said is true. Bitcoin will always be the king of crypto. No altcoin can replace it in the top. It's because they always follow bitcoin's value. If it decrease, they will also decrease their value in the market.

I don't know if bitcoin is 'scarce' but its supply is limited, so it should be able to hold its value so long as there's sufficient demand for it.  Compare bitcoin to something like doge, which has over 120 billion coins in circulation, with each coin divisible by the same amount that bitcoin is, and see how much its selling for.  There's definitely something to the scarcity argument, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

I think on the past few days I change my mind. Because I learned a bout LIBRA the coin that will be launch by facebook I think it will be better to have that LIBRA coin to invest in because of the more number of users on face book. there would be a better transactions and plenty of demand with that coin. And with that I think it will have a lot of value. To the point that it can over take bitcoin.
