hmmmm! dude, are you spamming? I see you are a new user and you are already spamming, well you are going to get banned soon if you keep this spamming up.

I had the user reported now. And a couple of copy/pasters too.

Anyone who dares to shitpost here, I will summon the mods' banhammer on them 😄 🔨🔨🔨!

And posts here that are well thought-out and unique are given "likes". Good luck.

This applies to my other threads as well.

As for this topic, didn't I asked for this: " Will the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the online gaming community become successful and widespread on this present day? " For example, we know that Facebook has games (I play Zynga Poker, among other things), but do these games have already adopted cryptocurrencies for their transactions, or do they have to wait for Libra (which is doomed to fail if the U.S. keeps on being such an ass) to launch before doing so? Or ordinary players buying and selling loot from famous MMORPGs using cryptocurrencies on a trading platform created primarily for gamers? If there is already such a thing, how widespread are they now, really?

Keep on posting guys. And remember, I'm watching.

yea i think this would be great as well, and i think some exchanges are already doing their best to make bitcoin adoption easy but with gaming it would be easier because gaming industry is worldwide.

Electronic games that turn into a source of income for many, and who do not often look with the same suspicion of others for cryptocurrencies, because there is an ancient special relationship between the two worlds.
The video game industry itself has embraced cryptocurrencies, and various games have turned into cryptocurrency and blockchain.

i think i already commented on the subject in the previous page but you probably missed it with all of those spammers. but i think it will be very good for crypto if a one of the biggest gaming companies started letting people use crypto to buy skins or any gaming features, could be in FIFA or in COD or fortnite. and this will give more exposure to crypto to people even at younger age.

Your article is very interesting. Online gaming is a very popular thing now and also crypto is going on its way. This two combined pair can shake the gaming network. This will be very easy. This can be implemented now to combine this two. That will be very helpful for the gamers. This can also be a very good platform to promote the crypto.

Myself was my example because I am also a gamer that loves crypto. I can manage my time in study, crypto and gaming. Thus, I want in the future to have a game that you can earn crypto. This will be a good suggestion that benefits both gamers and crypto users.

Since many countries prohibits gambling and cryptocurrency use, do you think these projects will be a success or do we need to wait longer before we do it, I think we should force our way through and developers should start this already.

well for now i dont think any gaming company will take a chance on using crypto as payments in the game and have the game banned from several countries because this will affect their value in the market but im saying if countries started accepting it for payments we will already have so many use cases for crypto.

I think adoption cryptocurrency in online gaming world already happen. That is sure can happen.

Online games usually using Steam Wallet to buy online games. So any coin is allow you to buy the games with their coin. I think they still prepare doing micro transaction for purchase the item in game. Where the game industry is still profitable until now can lead some cryptocurrency to take cooperation.

It seems that if that happens in the world of online gaming, it will indirectly introduce cryptocurrency to young people who like to play online games. Then they will use cryptocurrency as a transaction tool.

Game platform already adopt crypto as alternative payment, using this method their data can't be tracked. Adult and casino platform is the second platform, you can find them in google. Crypto is good instrument to get fresh fund and I think will continue into another program.

According tochttps://blockonomi.com/blockchain-games/ The collision of blockchain technology and gaming holds great promise for the growth of both industries. Innovations in the budding field of blockchain gaming have pushed the limits of non-fungible assets and are poised to keep supplying novel developments in other areas like scalability

That's quite a good link you got there. I have finished reading it. Thanks.

This section in particular caught my attention:

Quote

Obstacles Facing Blockchain Gaming

The primary obstacle facing the intersection of blockchain and gaming is very clear, scalability. The same problem that is facing the broader industry is inhibiting the sustainability and actual usefulness of current blockchain-based games.

DappRadar is an excellent tool for evaluating the activity of decentralized applications built on top of Ethereum and demonstrates a glaringly obvious lack of users for blockchain games and decentralized asset exchanges.

While still in the early stages, the trend represents an overall lack of sustainability for blockchain-based games at the moment. Gas costs on Ethereum can be prohibitively high during times of network congestion, and many once hopeful gaming dapps have fallen into obscurity after launch.

Centralized games and gaming platforms have clear advantages over blockchain-based games right now. However, interesting hybrid solutions such as Ethereum-based Gods Unchained may provide some insights into how centralized and decentralized models can be combined.

Gods Unchained runs on a centralized server and is powered by Unity, indistinguishable in gameplay from the majority of games today; however, the cards are non-fungible ERC-721 assets on the blockchain that can be traded in decentralized marketplaces.

Another problem resulting from scalability limitations is the current scope of games that can be created on a blockchain network. Slow network speed and lack of developer activity have led to many games being simple iterations of popular mobile games or collectible-focused games.

This is by no means a long-term problem though as some fascinating projects such as Decentraland focus on creating three-dimensional worlds and games are beginning to shift towards more ambitious goals.

The problem of scalability will ultimately determine which platforms see the majority of interactive games built on them and which become a more non-fungible asset focused model. Regardless, scalability limitations are stifling the sustainability of the vast majority of blockchain games today.

If the contents of this section are to be taken seriously, then that means that the scalability issues will hinder the widespread adoption of online games for quite a longer while. If potential developers of game-based cryptocurrencies will only do a half-assed job, then their project will only eventually turn into a shitcoin and will be bound to fail. But if they focus their resources too much and their project did not catch on to the gamers in general, that will prove to be a a waste of effort and a huge loss for them.

Looks like we still have to wait.

I think that is already happening. But you need a legit website for that. There are so many websites that accept crypto but they are stealing people's money. I see a website that already makes a blockchain lottery and that is good.

However, I think the adoption of cryptocurrency in the gambling industry will not make a huge positive impact. It is possible to create a negative impact.

Yes, that's true. Some gambling sites are just scams. But the topic talk about online gaming, not gambling. You must read first the topic carefully so when you reply in to it, your reply will be connected or related to the topic.

I don't mind if others talk about online gambling here, since that and the topic are related. They can talk about using virtual game tokens in online gambling in exchange for altcoins, using altcoins themselves as betting chips that can be also used in other online games' virtual currencies, etc. for example.

And gambling is essentially defined as a game using money for betting, anyway 🙂 .

As for the 'scam' part of the discussion, well, some sites are definitely scams, while others are illegal and are intermittently shut down by authorities. My country's news will sometimes feature an illegal online gambling company caught and shut down by cops. If you happened to like betting on an online gambling site, and that site suddenly went down and disappeared, you can bet on the latter.
