Not sure if there is any topic regarding this. If there is any then please ignore this topic and excuse my ignorance. I am wondering about the forum rank we will have here. I see two rank so far.

Certainly we need some set of rules for the forum. We do not have any and I am sure all of us are clueless too. I have seen users are posting referral link which does not look good but you can not tell them anything since there are no rule either.

 

I hope admin is working in it and soon will come up with some updates.

We are for sure open for job of moderating this forum if they are willing to hire us. Not easy work, but can benefit everyone and keep forum active and clean.

It's admin's call. I read in BitcoinTalk that they are hiring moderators, now what is going on behind the scene, we do not know. I am hopeful that we will see some moderator sooner or later. And it will be good to see spams are being cleaned.

everyone adopts and accepts a fair system. If forum administrators take into account the opinions of users, a sustainable forum will be created.

Well, this is a new forum which has been started very recently and the admin needs time to implement ranks and all those extra features to make forum more attractive but I think they will do it may be in the coming months or so once everything gets in place

It because of this merit system they implemented a year and half ago. If you want to rank up there then you will have to oil the old forum members, lick their ass and they will give you merit lol. (Joking)

Also the post count dropped significantly, as well as popularity. Lot of good members were banned because of stupid mistakes regarding plagiatrism.

Also a lot of users simply dont visit it because bad vibes and being afraid of stepping on some wrong persons toe.

Plagiarism is a bad habit, it's completely okay to ban a user for plagiarism but in BitcoinTalk they are doing it too much. People are reporting back to 4 / 5 years and accounts are getting banned. 

Let's use this forum as example. If there are no rules for plagiarism now and people do it in very small scale and after 5 years when this forum will be a very populate and popular forum then do you think it will be okay to ban a user who did a minor mistake today where there were no rules?

I agree to ban for plagiarism but I do not agree to ban a user for the mistake they made when there were no rules.

It was not a problem for me though. I built up my account from 0 merit to a Sr rank. If I would not lock my account then I would be very close to legendary so far.

I don't regret for it. I left the forum for good for verious reasons.

I think rankings will not be issued anytime soon here as they are still gathering more people to use this forum.

Those two you see are not rank, they are just tags for us to know which are mods and members, they also have guest here.

 

But for me if there will be a good rank or tag to use, I want us to have the PIONEER title on this one!

Ranks are already there but it has nothing to do with the competition actually, I don't understand why there should be a the connection between them

Well what difference you are looking for here? Why does a ranking system in a forum exists? These ranks are serving the same purpose obviously.

Here is what I understand, a ranking is like a badge. A status for the community and we also have it like we see in other forums. I am not seeing any issue at all.

At present, these rankings do not give any advantages. All for activity keep the same. Maybe a higher rank can write more posts, but I'm not sure. I think that when there are other competitions or campaign bounties, this rank will give someone an edge.

For the pay per post - yes it is always 30 max to get paid. I mean you will get paid only the 30 posts and rest will not be counted. However there is a contest to win 1BTC and top ten will get at least 0.1BTC. So if you make more posts then obviously you are heading to the highest posters club. 

If you can do that and can join the top ten then surely you will get some extra benefit.

This is really a win-win contest which unfortunately does not help to write really competent comments. I would still set a limit on the number of comments. Someone writes about 100 comments and more and I don't think they are really constructive or useful

Writing 100 posts or more than that really takes time. I for example giving content time to the forum and it takes over 12 to 14 hours these days to make 100+ posts. And talking about constructive post - I think I am doing fairly okay. It really is subjective in my opinion.

A constructive post does not have to be 1000 words long. Even a post with few words which is answering a concern raised can consider constructive. Like I said, it really is subjective.
