I don't think that someone will laugh at this, because this is a completely reasoned assumption in my opinion.
And I've already heard quite a few opinions that Ethereum is the next coin after Bitcoin.

I prefer ethereum to hold and make transfers, it has much more volatility and people who are long-term hold, XRP use it more to do intraday trading and make short-term profit from it.

I would chose Xrp .Because i know when the Bitcoin bull run the Xrp will give more profit  to me againat Etherium.As i see in past weeks the etherium price does not go up and in alt coins prediction of Xrp is very much valid to me .I preffered Xrp Coin.

If I really have to choose, I would ETH. ETH is more valuable because of the possibility to run DAPPS.

XRP is not a bad coin in my opinion, it has a real use case, but in the end, DAPPS have the future I think

It is not a bad idea to split your money into Eth and XRP , it can be secured and profitable investment with Etherem and Ripples. get it and hold for a while ! but think 1000 times before invest !

I will choose both of them. Because both of the platforms have foundations, and their use cases have been proven. Besides, you can't put your money on just one or two coins. Asset diversity is a safe way to invest.

I will go with ethereum it is more preferable then ripple it has a better network and is widely accepted among many cryptocurrency traders and online vendors that accept cryptocurrency payment, ripple is just more the centralize and control currency.

Yeah. Ethereum has a higher value making it the clear winner between them and must be more popular to intermediate bitcoiners aside from bitcoin. Its value is also reasonable to keep it on the wallet and invests it finally.

I do not think that a comparison can be made between the two currencies. As long as are not made to do the same thing, the comparison is very difficult to do. Maybe just as popularity and value.

I personally consider of these two options always ETH, it is a large network with its history and still decentralized, XRP is good on its own, but I would choose ETH.
