Yes its ripple is good for transactions Ripple is a good coin.  But you cannot mine Ripple to increase the number of coins.  The only way to get a Ripple is to buy it through an exchanger.

XRP was created with an intention to replace SWIFT and IBAN international transactions.

 

It may not happen that it will be a good purchase - but a great tool.

Banks systems are outdated and their cross-border transactions are based on another outdated service "SWIFT" that is just a building in Brussels that runs this since the 70's. Their tech is old and almost obsolete. The EU is using better tech for European banks and recently they announced a system where everyone can sent and recieve money instantly between European Banks: SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (https://www.europeanpaymentscouncil.eu/what-we-do/sepa-instant-credit-transfer) instead of the two-three days that was needed with the old system.

Still Ripple is better as the US banks have done nothing to progress all these years and feel they just deserve all the bail-out money and taxation of the US citizens for their bonuses.

I prefer making transactions through ripple than bitcoin. The reason is that, ripple allows me to have faster transactions compared to bitcoin, it also does have only require less transaction fee. What I just do not prefer is that ripple(XRP) is a centralized coin.
