Is Ripple the same as Bitcoin?

Recommended Posts

bitcoin is a payment method and a store of value, Ripple is not, the function of ripple is that the banking transactions between two different currencies are with low commissions and more efficient

Bitcoin was developed as a digital currency with the aim of paying for services and goods. Ripple, in turn, was created for banks and payment networks as a payment settlement, money transfer system, and currency exchange. The main idea of Ripple was to create a system of direct asset transfers in real-time which would be cheaper, more transparent, and secure than the existing payment methods, such as SWIFT Payments.

Yes both of them are based upon computation of mathematical formulas but XRP have required less energy and calculations to be created. Its also created for the use in crypto banking networks but BTC was created for direct payments.

Participation of mediators.  Transactions are managed using cryptographicly executed transactions, which can be managed using Fiat or Internal Currency (XRP).  The article on the platform contains the amount of debt with assets only the type of debt.  So, from this perspective, Bitcoin and Ripple are dramatically different.

One should also consider this. The litigation process against Ripple is ongoing, perhaps they may have prevented its price from rising somewhat. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a coin built on reliable foundations. Absolutely the two are different.

I would not say that they are the same, as for the matter of fact i wont even call XRP a pure cryptocurrency it is not decentralized like bitcoin, i believe cryptocurrencies should not be centralized.

Ripple is different from Bitcoin in some aspects. Main is the supply and price. Ripple has the total supply of 45B and Btc has only 21M and if we see the price between them, Ripple is stucked between 20-30 cents whereas btc is at 16k if we see Current price. And the main objective of Xrp is to provide the faster transaction than Bitcoin.

It is faster than Bitcoin in transactions, but it is not better than King Bitcoin . Today XRP is a good investment because of the huge potential it has to grow. Its low price makes it a great investment opportunity, and its use through the Ripple network as a symbol for super-fast currency transfers, it is faster than Bitcoin in transactions, but it is not better than King Bitcoin

In many ways yes. Ripple currency "XRP" is similar to Bitcoin, in terms of the digital form of the currency based on mathematical formulas, and it has a limited number of coins, making it ultimately subject to mining. Both types of currency can be transferred from account to account (peer-to-peer, or P2P) without the need for any third party intervention. In addition, both currencies provide digital security to protect against potential counterfeiting.

Those features of XRP thats you have mentioned and you are saying they are similar to bitcoin, thats not true because many cryptocurrencies those features.

Both are the digital currencies so there is no doubt that are different from.each other. The main difference can.be it's value and popularity. When people wants to buy coins then they absolutely prefer Bitcoin not Ripple because of their value. Both are also trade without any third party like Bank etc.

XRP is not a Cryptocurrency, it is not mined and is backed only by the trust of its fans, just as the dollar is also manipulated by banks.

xrp stands against everything we want to see in crypto, starts from being centralized and used by a bank, to the manipulation in price and the constant dumps by the team members when they release coins from escrow.

Before all I want to clear the things about what do you mean with Ripple vs Bitcoin or XRP vs Bitcoin, according to your content you want to compare XRP vs Bitcoin. Because XRP is referred to as "Ripple," however and technically Ripple is the name of the company and network (maybe the owner) behind the cryptocurrency. I think the difference between both are the transaction and fees, XRP is cheaper and faster than Bitcoin.

Always the coins thats have high totally coin supply they cannot become to overtake the coin that's has low totally coin supply especially for coin that have high demand like bitcoin.

You can’t really compare any altcoin to bitcoin. Most alrcoins are basically trying to copy or immitate the blockchain technology of bitcoin and create their own projects around it in an attempt to copy or exceed the success of bitcoin, but to date none had succeeded.

The platform's register shows only the amount of debt with assets that have the type of debt. Therefore, from this point of view, bitcoin and ripple differ dramatically.

Ripple programming protocols differ completely with that of bitcoin, in a way i could even say that Ripple is not a cryptocurrency because when we define cryptocurrencies we say they are decentralized.. well ripple is not centralized and is controlled by the banks.

Hey mate, you ask a good question but their is no chance ripply can be Bitcoin in future. Ripple coin become stable coin because we not see any movement in last two three years in the market. So we must not compare Bitcoin to any currency because Bitcoin is Bitcoin.

The method of the creation of ripple and bitcoin is same because both are based on mathematical calculations but overall they are different currencies with different market values and different trade volumes.

Bitcoin and xrp isn’t same because bitcoin's demand is so much high than xrp. I think the development of xrp should be increased more. But both have some common matters. But the major differences is bitcoin is a huge open blockchain but where ripple isn’t

Thanks to the platform, banks and organizations can create their very own networks and behavior transactions directly with each different, with out the participation of intermediaries. The motive in the back of the improvement of ripple is to create a actual-time asset switch machine this is inexpensive, greater obvious and extra comfy than present price strategies inclusive of SWIFT.

Let me correct this, ripple or XRP, it is a pre-mined coin, this means that at the time of its creation the number of coins was designated would exist and these would be under the control of the founding campaign, that is, Ripple Labs, therefore This currency cannot be mined, and the differences with bitcoin usually lie in the fact that it has a much faster, less expensive and centralized network that allows it to handle its monthly distribution.

Ate they both the same ?¿ No, they are not. Are they similar, yes they are. XRP / Ripple was invented to help banks make money transfers more secure & quicker. Its still mined like BTC. BTC was invented a an alternative to fiat currency by " I forget his name ", a Japanese guy I think he was. They have their similarities but are very different in what they were made for.
