Anyone in EU/USA mining on solar power?

I was wondering if there's anyone is EU or USA mining on solarpower. I thought since solar panals pay themselves back overtime, it might be interesting to mine if you have solarpanels, because you free electricity, and payback solarpanels and have crypto profits..

It would be cool if we had the option to choose the type of energy to use, in the case of mining this would be ideal. Low cost, caring for the environment would all be possible with renewable energy, and solar energy would be a great alternative.

seems ineffective for mining using solar energy panels. Because it takes thousands off watts of voltage every day and it must be active 24 hours. Solar power just for daily needs such as lights, water, television etc.

    Yes my brother, i'm in mining with actually two type of alternative power, and i'm already in profits from the first day, because, all stuff i'm using, was already in my home.

For the two kind of energy: i'm in panels solar energy, and also in Steam Engine energy, this last one i build it my self, but of cours with some help from youtube channels, you know this days we can find a lot of things that is helpful in life.

Yes of course many biggest mining rigs are using their own source of energy for mining such as solar power, bio gas, and waterproof energy cause the electricity is too much cost.

I use solar panels to mine cryptocurrency when the sun is shining. It is not profitable to have batteries to run through the night.

 

I bought 2nd hand solar panels long ago for 50 cents per watt but now you can find better deals on ebay or by the pallet.

 

If you put everything together yourself, you save even more money. I have 2x6 treated lumber racks on 4x4 posts set into the ground. Each rack holds four 200 watt solar panels.

 

In summer I can run two mining rigs for about 6 to 10 hours, depending on how clear the sky is. Currently I have nearly 2,000 watts of solar panels hooked up. Some batteries are used as a buffer only in case of light clouds.

 

I am working on a fully automated solar powered mining farm using an Arduino micro computer to turn mining rigs on and off as power is available.

 

You can cut out the power supply and inverter by using a PICO ATX power supply which runs directly on 12 volts. I use a 24 to 12 volt adapter to bring the 24 volt solar panels down to 12 volts to run the PICO ATX power supply. But that is still more efficient than stepping up through an inverter and then back down again through a power supply.

 

I plan to keep expanding my solar power array and adding on more mining rigs with time.

Cryptocurrency mining requires huge power, the price of solar panels will be prohibitive for such power. It’s not for 2 minutes to turn on the kettle or microwave!

I never heard about that, I think mining with solar power is requiring very hot area to have a lot of energy, I don't think is successful in EU but in USA maybe there is hot areas there

It is definitely your choice to make about what energy source to use for mining of cryptos. Aside from the high tariffs of using the public mains, a number of countries are clamping down on miners on account of the surge in demand for power the use of public supply entails. So having your own independent power comes down to the best option for anyone that can afford the initial cost.

The mining project using solar panels has become a big necessity at the present time due to the large electric power consumption caused by mining using electricity. This is in addition to environmental pollution resulting from high temperatures. I have heard about a new project working on this idea, (Green Mining) but I do not know whether they have achieved their goal or not.

Nobody is going to mine better by connecting a solar panel to their house. You would need dozens of gigantic solar panels in order to get a decent hash rate and only as long as the weather is sunny. If it's cloudy or raining your mining will stop and the rain could even damage the solar panels. And this also means you won't be able to mine during the winter.

I know a guy that has a solar pannel farm, but he has contract with the national energy company and he can't use even the excess energy for other reasons. The investment in solar energy is subsidized in the EU and there are certain conditions that can't be broken. Ηe might lose a lot of money if he switches to personal use.

@Future which personality use are you talking about? Is it for mining? Or other personal use other than mining? 

Did you mean that if the person only want to use solar to mine, it will be subsidized?

The EU is subsidizing solar panels. Anyone that wants to install them on his field or on the top of his home can do it with a reduced price. The rest is paid by some EU programms that have to do with alternative energy sources. The EU is providing on average 30% of the cost to install them and they also ask to sell directly to the national energy provider. This person I know has a similar contract and I don't know if he can use the electricity for other purposes.

Solar power mining is the best because you will reduce electricity usage and use small amount in other things. I have never use solar power in mining because i don't know how to install it at my home.

I believe that such mining will be profitable if the user already has solar panels for other purposes and uses them in the daytime for mining. And at night, you can use electricity.
