Without speculation, they can control the price, whether they do is another question, but i can't see any reason why wouldn't they. Just by moving large amounts of bitcoin to exchange wallet triggers some bots to sell/short.

 

But i would say that this happens daily in altcoins. If you own let's say 2% of the circulating supply, you have the power to totally destroy any chart.

@Moaz yes mate !! I also fear if they sell their bitcon at higher rate then buying presser is going very low as compare to selling .

bitcoin start dumping as a result it's price fall badily , those memebr who have high amount of currency  can easly control market of that coin .

Of course they can control and they do, but logic says! They bought bitcoin when some cents were, and bitcoin started to rise gradually, why didn't they sell? This is because they are waiting for the higher and higher price, and they do not care about selling bitcoin at the moment, but everything is possible, and perhaps all this bitcoin will could be sold, but certainly not all of them will agree to sell in one moment, this is what makes the price not collapse for years.

@Moaz  lil bit so they are control the price of bitcoin.. Like if they sell their all btc stored in their wallet then easily the price of btc can be change in a moment becuase the stock market supply will increase that time which will lead the btc price go down in my own idea... But if they buy a huge amount of btc then the price of btc can easily pump.. So it can be said that they are control the price of btc

those are the people who bought bitcoin early back in the days, and yea they are indeed the ones manipulating the market in order to make more money for themselves. this is why I want the crypto market to grow into a trillion marketcap so it would be harder to be manipulated.

We can say that they can control price of bitcoin. Because we see that a high buy wall of any currency lead the price up and high sell lead to price down so they can control price easily. 

And out of 17000 ,many of those even don't know about this.

Bitcoin is not prone to any control, bitcoin have been a currency getting strong everyday. Although, there are whales that can try to manipulate but know that bitcoin is distributed in a way it is not centralized at all. Even to the extent no whale can control the price.

Thee bitcoin holder with a million  can easily turnover the prices of the btc. But it isn't seen iften because a good number of amount of btc is hold by the crypto whales. And they somehow maintain the stability of this digital coin. So in that way,it never goes out of line in prices. Impressive stat. I would not imagine there were so many Bitcoin addresses with a balance of more than 1 million dollars. Maybe some belong to the same whales but this proves that the whales are not so powerful today as they were in the past. We have a good divide of Bitcoin and this will be even less and split to many more people as years pass.

When Bitcoin was established, its price was very low.  And the price of Bitcoin continues to rise day by day.  However, those who had deposited bitcoin then are now undoubtedly millionaires.  Because now the price of Bitcoin is above 23K.  So we will hold on to Bitcoin and think that its price will increase a lot in the future.
