These people were unable to enter and obtain cryptocurrencies, so they began to use the names of famous people to steal. It is very good for you to share the addresses of these accounts on the forum so that we can take our precautions

One of the most famous man when we talk about crypto currency is Satoshi nakamoto not only because he is the creator of Bitcoin but also because he is helping others.

At that time, very large numbers of accounts of famous platforms and personalities were hacked and the reason for the hack was a Twitter employee who received a message containing a link that was sent by the hacker, and it turned out later that the hacker was a young man and it is good that everything has been recovered, but this is proven Twitter's security system is weak and has lost the confidence of many users, and it is likely that we will be able to see more hacks and theft in the future.

Here's a bit of a recent update on this issue:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/alleged-second-teen-mastermind-behind-twitter-s-bitcoin-giveaway-hack

Spoiler

Alleged second teen mastermind behind Twitter’s 'Bitcoin giveaway' hack

Turner Wright

Graham Ivan Clark may not be the only juvenile responsible for the massive Twitter breach on July 15.

The FBI executed a search warrant against a 16-year-old Massachusetts resident in connection with the massive Twitter breach.

According to a New York Times report, on Sept. 1 authorities raided the home of a 16-year-old boy who may have played an “equal, if not more significant role” in the infamous July 15 hack, which resulted in millions of followers of high-profile Twitter accounts being falsely offered a 2-to-1 ‘giveaways’ for any Bitcoin (BTC) sent.

The investigation revealed he may have posed as a Twitter employee or contractor to fool legitimate ones into entering their login credentials to fake websites where he could then capture them.

The report stated that the teenager coordinated the Twitter attack starting in May with 17-year-old Graham Ivan Clark, the alleged mastermind. While Clark was discovered through his Discord chat records, the unnamed teenager reportedly used encrypted messaging systems like Signal and Wire, making it harder for investigators to identify him.

The unnamed individual could be the fourth charged following an investigation by the FBI, IRS, U.S. Secret Service, and local authorities. Clark was arrested on July 31 on 30 felony charges. In addition, 19-year-old U.K. resident Mason John Sheppard, and 22-year-old Florida resident Nima Fazeli have also been charged by federal prosecutors.

On Aug. 4, Clark pleaded not guilty to 17 counts of communications fraud, 11 counts of illegal use of personal information, one count of organized fraud over $5,000 and one count of illegally accessing a computer or electronic device. He is currently in jail on $725,000 bail.

The FBI has not yet presented any charges for the youth for his alleged involvement in the incident, which resulted in Twitter users sending 12 BTC — roughly $144,000 as of this writing — to different addresses posted during the attack.

It turns out that there are multiple people involved in this incident, not just one. And to think that the latest one caught was a 16-year old teenager.

If the ones caught are indeed guilty, they should be punished accordingly. And may this be a lesson for us as well: not to let ourselves get get duped easily by "too good to be true" offers.

These events reveal the lack of security on Twitter, they are events that are repeated regularly, a few weeks ago profiles, such as the United States Army, Donald Trump or Binance, again attacked with similar messages, unfortunately many lost  your money.

I never saw this happening again. Can you show me link to the news where Trump got hacked too? Because he wasn't hacked at the same case op is talking about. In fact i haven't seen anyone hacking his account.

This information about the twitter hack may have made people understand that Bitcoin is monitored by many agents and the blockchain is not anonymous and private. There may be some ways to hide the identity but a mistake is very probable. Also made it known that many are not understanding the dangers of these scammers and how to protect themselves. It as an obvious hack and still people willingly gave their bitcoin to scammers.

Scams are everywhere and somehow these scams that claim to double your money are finding victims very often, I hope there is found a way to stop them and I seen youtube lately done some changes and now is not allowing the change of image and name of the youtube channel, unless perhaps contacting an admin first and making a special request, so there are ways to make the work of these scammers more difficult.

Yes, hackers are increasing in the cryptocurrency but the technology for the cryptocurrency is so strong no one can hack it. Imagine they can hack the twitter account of the famous people. How professional are they? But they are unsuccessful for hacking cryptocurrency. But it's better to add security like 2FA to secure your cryptocurrency.

This was the twitter hack that made some people lose money by believing that every celebrity on twitter that was hacked was suddenly making this giveaway. Very strange that they found many victims. They were caught but we haven't heard anything recently about this.

they have enough money to wast,, but we are the people of poor society.... that's why we can't prefer it or accept it....     actually many people will accept this kind of scams by their greed ... but I will not suggest it to do

So many peoples send their money to these peoples account and they make a scam and this is not good. Hackers always make the high money just in a short time and the innocent peoples will always lost their money. We need to open our minds and think that the celebrity why need our 1000$ if he send us 2000$ after some time.

Thanks for this alert, it is almost impossible to think twitter can be hacked like this, so I'm pretty sure many have fallen victims of this hack. I always say knowing the old ways of scammers does not keep one safe from future scams, scammers gets smarter everyday.
