What is Portfolio? (explanation)

Portfolio is group of your investments/coins/tokens (etc.) on one place and you can see total value of your investments (/coins/tokens).

 

Example:

BTC (Bitcoin)

0.1

(1,000$)

ETH (Ethereum)

2.5

(500$)

(0.055 BTC)

DOGE (Dogecoin)

50,000

(125$)

(0.0134 BTC)

Total USD: 1625$

Total BTC: 0.1684 BTC

P.S. You dont need to deposit your coins you just need to putt numbers how much coins you have

and that will make you easier to tracking your all coins price movemants on one place.

Why you need to have all your coins in one wallet?

 

Because of that portfolio is a good thing to use, all your coins but without "access". 

My opinion is that is better to hold on few wallets only if you have hardware wallet but maybe in that case too few hardware wallets why not.

I use many portfolio in my phone the best one in my opinion is the BitUniverse application you can track all your coins and create a portfolio with your coins or just import other wallet or exchange and they do the work for you

Blockfolio was the first tracker i used for balances and it was fine, but i must recommend to check competition too. I moved to https://delta.app/en when it came out and back then it was way better in gui and can't remember the other reasons i moved into it anymore because it was a long time ago.

 

I haven't checked how much blockfolio has changed these days, this thread made me want to download that too.

I put all the currencies I have in one wallet. As for the dollar, I put it in a wallet on a web browser. I don’t use applications unlike the bitcoin that I put in a wallet application on a mobile like a blockchain but at the moment the profit method has changed and I need a safer wallet. What do you advise me?

It's depend, for which coin/token you need wallet?

And you mentioned that you use web browser wallet, did you do back up?

Blockchain is a good wallet but of course you must to secure your wallet (do back up).

I'm not talking about some specifically app, I'm just talking about "portfolio" in general.

There are a lot app or websites where you can track your portfolio (coins/tokens).

You probably misunderstood like person above, I'm not talking about app I'm talking about portfolio in general and you dont need to "store" your cryptocurrency in that app or website you just need to insert numbers of your coins and on which price you bought it. You can "store" your coins in some wallet (safely) and your portfolio is just to track profit/loss on your all coins/tokens.

To me, portfolio is the list and arrangement of the cryptocurrencies you are tracking, either because you buy them or because you want to know that recent happenings about the coins. It really helps in trading and investment, especially if someone has multiple currencies.

Why do you complicate when it's so simple.

"CryptoTalk" I'm talking about cryptocurrency not about stock (etc.) there was (I just noticed that is not there anymore) other section Stock or something like that I dont remember but obvious that was not active and they remove that section. But point is that you complicate something which is really simple, and you connect stock with cryptocurrency which is not same.

Edit: There is sub-section on Trading section Forex Trading but only 1930 posts and on Trading is over 43k posts, you can understand point.

This is good although I don’t use it I eat my money in stock exchanges in fact, I don’t like storage I like trading it better, this is only personal opinion

I have no idea what you are talking about. Did you mean portfolio tracker only works on holdings? Let me remind, portfolio trackers help a successful traders to make every successful trading strategies. I have been using portfolio trackers for that purpose.

First of all which coin/coins you want to hold in your wallet (wallet for one coin or multi coin wallet)?

Second, you must to (research if you dont know how) make a back up of your wallet to secure your coin/s.

If you are long term investor I recommend you to find some good wallet and make back up and hold there your coin/s its for sure better than to hold your coins on exchange or some website.
