Yesterday (as of this writing), I posted a comment asking why cryptocurrency prices are so easily influenced by celebrities. Not to be outdone, the same thing can happen to altcoins too. This same Elon Musk caused DOGE prices to rise after his few tweets about the coin. https://cryptotalk.org/topic/338350-statement-by-elon-musk-on-dogecoin-investment/ This topic is not just about Elon Musk, this is about every celebrity who can move crypto markets with just a simple message on social media. Nor is this about BTC and DOGE alone. The above is just an example. There are a lot of news over the years where famous celebrities posting on social media cause crypto prices to rise or fall depending on the person and his comment. This forum alone is chock full of those topics, there are lots more on other forums. You'd think that crypto users would have become fed up with this pattern by now, but they don't. Paypal finally including crypto in their transactions, that's really big news. Release of ETH 2.0? That's also big news. The new US Treasury secretary "threatening" to "curtail" the use of crypto? Maybe, if the US government gets serious. Those kind of news alters the way cryptocurrencies are used, and it wouldn't be a surprise if crypto prices rise or fall as a result. But celebrities giving simple and vague comments? It would be an entirely different story if they themselves bought crypto and transform themselves into whales, but did they? For now, a particular line in one of those articles caught my interest. It says: Not all crypto users have a Twitter account, for one thing. I myself don't have one. So not all crypto users will be able to reply to a tweet by a famous celebrity. But that doesn't mean that they are not influenced by it. So if for example Warren Buffet pulled another publicity stunt on Twitter all the while denouncing Bitcoin as a "worthless piece of s***", Bitcoin prices might plunge. Not because of the negative replies to that tweet, but because crypto users read the news somewhere else, and now they got scared of others selling off before them, they went with the flow, and BOOM! we got ourselves a short FOMO period. All because of one person's tweet. But really now, are the majority of crypto users a huge bunch of "sheep"? Can't we think of these celebrities as less of deities *cough*, and more of a regular person, like you and me? Could Africa hold the key to the future of widespread cryptocurrency Adoption? Africa is the second-fastest-growing region both economically and demographically in the world having a population of over 1.2 billion and a GDP exceeding $2.4 trillion. Many experts argue that inflation and poverty push people towards cryptocurrency. Africans without access to banks and who live in politically unstable countries could be attracted to cryptocurrency. “Africa is rarely mentioned among the largest markets for cryptocurrency, but it may be set to steal a march over other markets,” says Rakesh Sharma, a business and technology journalist. Mr. Sharma says that citizens of countries battling high inflation are likely to opt for cryptocurrency, because “with their paradigm of decentralization, cryptocurrencies offer an alternative to disastrous central bank policies.” This is seen in countries like Venezuela and Zimbabwe among others which turn to Bitcoin amid economic collapse. Many African governments find it difficult to adopt and regulate cryptocurrencies due to fear of a collapse of the banking industry and their local fiat currencies. In Zambia, for instance, the Bank of Zambia (BoZ), responsible for creating and implementing monetary policies for the world’s 105th largest economy, explained their stance against the use of cryptocurrencies in contrast to the growing public interests in the field. The central bank admitted that it was receiving a lot of inquiries related to Bitcoin’s legal status in Zambia, and they had to “safeguard the interests of members of the public and to maintain the integrity of the financial system” with its official stance on the digital currency, according to a local news report. An excerpt from the official report says: “Firstly, Section 30 of the Bank of Zambia Act vests the right to issue notes and coins exclusively in the BoZ. To date, BoZ has not issued any form of cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in the Republic of Zambia; Secondly, BoZ does not oversee, supervise nor regulate the cryptocurrency landscape. Consequently, any and all activities related to the buying, trading or usage of cryptocurrencies are performed at owner’s risk.” Therefore, one cannot say that cryptocurrencies are banned in Zambia. Interestingly an article in the Zambia Daily Mail of Tuesday, July 3, 2018 was titled 'Bitcoin: Zambia not yet ready'... being a crypto and blockchain tech enthusias, the phrase “not yet ready” which was used in this article makes me hopeful because it implies that there is a possibility that the central bank will one day find a place for cryptocurrency as a useful tool in the financial sector. Cryptocurrencies allow for the transfer of value relatively faster and at low or no cost. Thus, the central bank of Zambia may soon see it fit to issue the country's first cryptocurrency. The constitution of Zambia does not define Bitcoin, which is why it has received a flack from the country’s central bank. There is, however, a possibility of lawmakers taking an active approach to regulating it under a modified provision. BoZ confirmed that it would be actively looking into the cryptocurrencies to come up with a law that "should not constrain but enable innovation.” In countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania, on the other hand, the adoption of cryptocurrency has gone far ahead. The 2019 Hootsuite Global Digital Yearbook shows that 10.7% of South Africans, 7.8% Nigerians and 7.3% Ghanaians posses cryptocurrency. These countries are above the average of adults with internet access that use cryptocurrency on the continent which is around 5.5%. These are African countries that have really embraced the solution to the problem of remittance which cryptocurrency solves. Many statistical analyses show that South Africa tops the list of cryptocurrency ownership among global internet users. One cryptocurrency with real utility in these countries is Electroneum (ETN). Когда валидатор замечает новую транзакцию, которую необходимо обработать, то он случайным образом делает запрос от другого подмножества валидаторов и “спрашивает”, считают ли они эту транзакцию действительной или нет. Следственно другие валидаторы транзакцию либо одобряют, либо отказывают, и в последнем случае ей могут отказать. Почему же может получится отказ? Все очень просто, это может произойти если другая нода уже отклонила транзакцию или отдала предпочтение другой конфликтующей транзакции. У каждого валидатора будет свое собственное мнение насчет действительности данной транзакции. Если большая часть подмножества валидаторов считают, что данная транзакция действительна и должна быть принята, то тогда первый валидатор даёт добро на принятие транзакции. После этих действий валидатор считает данную транзакцию действительной и при получении другого запроса от другого валидатора он ответит, что данная транзакция действительно и должна быть одобрена. По такой же аналогии работает принцип отклонения транзакции. Если один валидатор откажет в транзакции, то также посоветует другим валидаторам ее отклонить. На данный момент платформа Avalanche имеет в себе 3 блокчейна, которые проверяются через Default Subnet. Самым основным блокчейном считается X-Chain цепочка. Одним из активов, торгуемых на данной цепочки считается $AVAX, внутренний токен сети. Когда кто-то отправляет токены, то тот платит комиссию в $AVAX. X-Chain в целом представляет собой AVM (Avalanche Virtual Machine). P-Chain управляет метаданными сети Avalanche. Данная цепочка позволяет нам создавать блокчейны, добавлять валидаторов в подсети. C-Chain на данной сети можно создавать смарт-контракты. C-Chain означает (Ethereum Virtual Machine), а это позволяет нам делать все то же самое что и на Ethereum используя API C-Chain.
