If you opened your account in a legit site then your wallet is probably valid ! If you still hesitate about it then my opinion is you can open an account in coinbase or blockchain and use there service ! I've been using coinbase for a long time and I'm well satisfied also read the agreements carefully.

You are right ! The country that doesn't allow crypto is far away from progress. At a time they would probably use it but at this time they're just lacking !
