Mina’s Testnet Release 4.1: Challenges
Mina’s Testnet is a way for the community to test out the network, help to improve the protocol, and build the community. By participating in testnet challenges, you also increase your chances of being eligible for the Genesis Token Program 30 (which awards up to 6.6% of the protocol to 1000 Genesis Founding Members for being the first block producers upon mainnet launch).

Community Challenges - Don’t require technical skills and are a great way to participate and contribute the community.
Flash Challenges - Every once in a while, we announce flash challenges where you can earn extra points. Keep an eye on Discord 18!
Testnet Points* - Get recognized with points* for successfully accomplishing testnet challenges.
Leaderboard 52 - Get a view of where you rank on testnet points* compared to other participants. The leaderboard is also a big factor in the Genesis eligibility selection process.
Technical Challenges (Limited Access)
Challenge #1: Connect to testnet and send mina to the echo service 1000 pts*
The team has provided all the necessary documentation here 91 and sent the peer list file by email to help you get started on the testnet. Join the Discord server 18 where you meet the team and other testnet users; you can also find technical help in the mentor-nodes channel.
After you’re connected to the testnet, send a transaction with at least 1 mina to the below address (echo service) to get the points for this challenge.

Challenge #2: Stake your mina and produce blocks up to 7500+ pts*
Produce 1 block and get it accepted in the main chain for 1000 pts*.
Anyone who produces at least 3 blocks will earn an additional 1000 pts*.
For every next block you produce, you will earn 100 pts*.
Bonus points if you produce the most blocks:
1st place: 5500 pts*
2nd place: 4000 pts*
3rd place: 3000 pts*

Challenge #3: SNARK fees up to 7800 pts*
Produce SNARKs and compete with other testnet users on the SNARKetplace! The goal in the challenge is to earn the most minas in fees. We will measure this by inspecting fees paid out to snark workers inside blocks. (This means if you get more than one snark work included in a block we will measure this amount as the sum of all the fees for the works you include within a block)
Tip: You can experiment with different flags. If you run with -work-selection rand (the default) then your snark worker is completing random proofs. If you run with -work-selection seq you’ll do snarks in order.
Bonus: The top users who sold the most expensive SNARKs on the snarketplace will receive bonus points.

Challenge #4: Send mina tokens elsewhere up to 2000 pts*
Send 5 transactions: 1000 pts*
Send 50 transactions: 1000 pts*
Challenge #5: Do a Hard fork 1000 pts*
Ensure your node is on within both the 24 hour windows before and after the hard fork on November 30th. We will provide you with instructions on how to participate hard fork closer to that date.
Challenge #6: Have a high uptime up to 5000 pts*
We’ll be tracking telemetry data throughout the Testnet and afterwards we will analyze this data to determine which nodes had the longest uptime.

Community challenges
Challenge #7: Tell A Friend about Genesis
Refer your friends to join Mina’s Genesis program and be considered for a Genesis token grant! Your friend needs to follow the sign up link from the Genesis token program page 30 and quote your Discord ID at the bottom of the sign up form.
100 pts* per signed up friend. Please record your referrals using this form 23.
Challenge #8: Community All-Star Challenge up to 9500 pts*
New for 4.1: Take part in Mina’s Community All-Star Challenges; you can complete them in any order you like! Update your submission form 51 with links as you complete your community challenges and earn testnet points*.
Level 1: Like and Retweet this Tweet: https://twitter.com/MinaProtocol/status/1329236640900984834 26, and tag two friends in the replies 200 pts*
Level 2: Create an original Mina meme, GIF or artwork and share it on Twitter using the hashtag: #PoweredByParticipants and #MinaTestnet. Level 3: Telegram Referrals 100 pts* per referral (2000 pts* maximum)
